My Science Project

What we have to do on Thursday is a science expedition.
Over the holidays we had to choose a science experiment for the expo. The name of my experiment is: The truth about 100% Fruit Juice. I am trying to determine how much sugar is in various fruit juices and how the amount compares to coke. I chose this experiment because I have always wondered why my mom would not let me drink fruit juice even if it is just fruit sugar and water . I never knew that sugar and fruit sugar do the same thing to your body. Some of you might wonder what sugar does to your body, well sugar causes all metabolic diseases like cancer, diabetes and dementia. I worked on my own for this science experiment because if I worked with someone we would have to get together all the time and we would of had different schedules. When I looked at the results I saw that coke had the least amount of sugar compared to the other various juices. We had to make posters, I used a green cardboard. I am very excited for the expo on Thursday but I am nervous for the judges ( scientists) who are going come judge our experiment.

Transportation Outing

Yesterday I went to the water front with my class.

We went there on the MyCiti Bus. It was very squishy because there were lots of people in the bus.

A lady almost fell asleep on my friend's shoulder. I was sweating because I sat at the back of the bus squished in the corner. It was a very nice experience because I had never ridden a MyCiti Bus. It was quite annoying because we stopped at every MyCity Bus station to pick up passengers or to let people get off the bus. When we arrived we had snack and got on to a little boat and went on a harbour tour.

We first put life jackets on and I sat next to Zara. When we sat down we plugged our earphones in that we got from the owner of the boat. We set the screen to English and off we went. I enjoyed the ride because I saw so many seals. It was a nice smooth ride and we listened to facts and music, though the music was a bit weird and out of tune. When we finished the boat ride we found the mom who looked after our ILT group. We had my mom. I was in a group with Bianca, Zara and Michelle. When we met at the hotel we started our first task, The Amazing Race. We got 12 clues and we went around finding answers. I enjoyed this because we got to walk around the waterfront and find objects. At station number 8 we stopped and bought an ice cream. I bought a chocolate ice cream in a sugar cone withe nuts. When we finished the race we went home in my moms car and we lifted Mrs. Louw.

When we got to school I was so sad because the awesome outing was over. 

Shipwrecks

Today I did a task on The Discoverer.

The discoverer was a cruise ship that was built in Germany in 1974. The ship wrecking occurred when a rock punctured the ships hull. It is located in Roderick Bay on Nggela Island. It made periodic voyages to the Antarctic polar regions to allow its passengers to observe ice floe moments. The rock punctured the hull on this ship on April 30, 2000. The rock was in the sea in Solomn Islands. The captain steered the ship into Roderick Bay and grounded it to stop sinking. 

My awesome holiday

I had a very fun holiday.
I went to watch so many movies at different parts of the holiday.
I watched The BFG, Ice Age Collusion Course and Finding Dory. I got a lot of checkers minis this holiday. My favourite one that I have is the sunlight liquid.My mom, my brother and I went to Jump Around twice. Except the second time was with my best friend Sienna and her brother Aaron.
I slept at my granny a lot of times this holiday and had lots of play dates with Samantha and Kate my friends. At my playdate with Sam (Samantha) we choreographed a dance to the song Don't Let Me Down.
That was my very awesome and fun holiday.

 

Survivor Island: 1

Survivor Island: Day 1

Today we arrived at Survivor Island. 

The only survivors are Sienna,Kate,Samantha,Daniela and Holly.

The first thing I saw was a weird tropical bird that almost bit me.

I found a knife, (to cut food) a fishing rod, (to catch fish) a match box (to keep warm) and a bottle (to fill up with water).

I was feeling a bit scared I hoped somebody finds me.

It was getting very dark I needed to take a rest.

I went to find my matchbox because I was getting very cold.

My friends and I made up a game in the morning with rocks and shells.
